Blue-headed Parrots (Pionus menstruus) gather at a clay lick
in Peru. What's a clay lick? Well, a clay lick is an area with
exposed bare soil on a river bank or cliff face where many species
of birds gather to eat the soil. Geophagy, or the purposeful
eating of soil, has been documented in many species including
                  humans.
